Peter Labovitz
Peter Labovitz has been active in real estate development and construction for over 50 years. He was a major partner in the land acquisition, planning, approvals, financing, construction, and leasing of three primary blocks of King Street in Old Town Alexandria. He also developed hundreds of thousands of square feet of offices as investment properties, for sale, and on behalf of users. As a residential builder, he has developed and built hundreds of townhouses and single family homes and renovated a number of important historic properties throughout Virginia.
From time to time, Peter serves as a consultant to banks or other real estate lenders or asset holders and is a licensed Real Estate Broker. Peter served for many years as CEO for a family-owned chain of 15 community newspapers, including the Alexandria Gazette-Packet which at its height had over 500 employees.
Peter has an A.B., MCP, from Harvard University where he served as a lecturer for a number of years. He was a Visiting Professor at the University of Virginia. Before turning his attention full-time to real estate, he also served as an independent consultant for high-profile troubleshooting assignments and prepared policy reports for the White House and a number of federal agencies and cities and for major companies on corporate planning, acquisitions, management, and strategies.
Tara Lloyd
Tara Lloyd handles administration, project accounting, asset management, marketing and sales oversight, community relations, and design consultation for DDG projects.
Tara has been active in marketing and sales in Northern Virginia since the late 1980’s. For a number of years she was a commercial interior designer with Austin-Kuester, Inc., where she specialized in hospitality, hotel, restaurant, airport, and university facility design and interiors.
Tara has a B.A from Vanderbilt University and a B.S. in Interior Design from Mount Vernon College (now part of George Washington University).
Holt Mountcastle
Holt Mountcastle manages development activities for DDG including capital sourcing, site planning, market analysis, sustainability assessment, entitlements, and community relations. He also pursues development opportunities throughout the Northern Virginia region.
Holt began his career with the ESG advisory firm RE Tech Advisors. At RE Tech, Holt strategized and executed corporate sustainability initiatives for a variety of real estate clients from the multifamily and office sectors. He also led marketing, underwriting, and stakeholder relations for a property assessed clean energy (PACE) financing program. In addition to supporting RE Tech’s private sector clients, Holt served as the account manager for commercial real estate and financial services partners of the Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Initiative.
Holt has a B.A. from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Master’s in Real Estate Development from Georgetown University.
